The Highlands Music Festival is a one day ticketed event that will be produced in a high exposure smaller residential space and setting (Right on N. Federal Boulevard.) Additionally, the event will feature music format diversity and national and music legend caliber artists. Accordingly, at this point we are not focused or dependent on engaging a large number of vendors or the type of vendor revenue volume that a free festival event looks for in seeking to sustain or profit. In this configuration, our main vendor goal is guest oriented and solely intended to adequately provide a variety food and beverage selection for 1,600 people.

As a result, there will be fewer food vendors selected for the Highlands Music Festival vs. a free festival. On that basis, our food and novelty food vendors will do greater sales volume due to a much less competitive environment. For multiple food menu selection, we are looking at Mexican food, Italian food, and what may be considered festival popular American food selections. Novelty food vendor item preferences are based on known common high demand festival food and novelty items. Food and Novelty Food vendor applications are considered by event management on this basis and at their sole discretion.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2017 Highlands Music Festival! This is an event whose time has arrived as a music celebration of community diversity of Denver's Potter Highlands historic neighborhood also known to many as Denver's Northside. Volunteers serve in a variety of work assignments and must be willing to interchange in various areas if asked; otherwise they will be assigned to a specific area and operation on one of three 4-hour shifts. Volunteers will be assigned to any area unless there is a physical limitation. If a volunteer has a physical limitation of are disability, we ask that they please indicate this in their application information.

  • Approved applications include, and are considered, “Hold Harmless” legal liability waiverMusic 
  • Festival hours are from 2 PM to 9 PM
  • Shifts: 12 PM to 3 PM - 3:00 PM to 6 PM - 6 PM to 9 PM / Tear Down and Cleanup Crew 8:00 PM to 11 PM
  • ​Volunteers represent the event and must be friendly and conduct themselves with professionalism at all times while at the event. Volunteers may not consume alcohol prior to their volunteer shift assignment

We will be inviting and accepting up to 80 volunteers that will work one of 3 shifts with lots to do!

Booth Exhibitors must provide own tent, table, and chairs. Tent size limit is no larger than 10" x 10" Exhibitors must provide their own tent, table and chairs. Due to the outdoor nature of the event, each tent leg must be weighted with a 25 pound weight on each leg. To remain in compliance with our venue use agreement requirements, No ground stakes are permitted per venue agreement and exhibitors may NOT drive onto the lawn event area at ANY time for ANY reason.
The Highlands Music Festival is being produced at the neighborhood street level with an event location and environment that lends itself to a high exposure smaller residential space and setting (Located directly on N. Federal Boulevard and 36th Avenue.) The venue capacity is 1,600, however, with the promotional dynamics planned through social media, email broadcast capability, street team printed material distribution capability, KUVO Radio 89.3, El Semanario Weekly Issue, and 5280 Magazine newsletter broadcasts; the capacity to promotional reach ratio is estimated to come in at 100 to 1 with Colorado statewide exposure.

            The youth mural exhibit is an interactive mural project hosted by 
             and directed by local professional artists that will work with area 
             youth and North High School students. They will work on various 
             projects including a community themed main stage banner.
