The La Familia Ministries "Father's Heart - Rocky Ford" Christmas outreach is now entering it's 4th season of service to the families in the communities of Rocky Ford, La Junta, Manzanola, Las Animas, and Fowler in Southeastern Colorado's Arkansas Valley. Through the consideration afforded by the U.S. Marines Toys-For-Tots Pueblo organization, local community partners, donors, and the Rocky Ford Father's Heart team, the effort also feeds family agencies in the area.

2024 marks La Familia Ministry's 12th season of conducting the "Father's Heart - Nellie's Kids" Christmas family outreach in Denver, CO. We are also blessed to enter our 9th season of collaboration with Cardenas Ministries in supporting their "Spirit of Giving - Parade of Toys" Christmas family outreach to low income housing families in the Adams County, CO cities of Brighton and Commerce City.
During those years, we are blessed to have also established the "Father's Heart Rocky Ford" outreach in the Arkansas Valley area of Southeastern Colorado. This effort is now in it's 4th season and serves the cities of Rocky Ford, La Junta, Fowler, Manzanola, and Las Animas, Colorado,.

2024 will also be our 3rd season of sponsoring the Aztlan Recreation Center "Toyz for Kids" Christmas outreach in the Quigg Newton housing area. Also in 2024, we are blessed to come along side the "MGM Toyz In Da Hood" effort that serves the Southwest Denver and Westwood areas and to partner with Colour of Love Ministries, Phoenix, Arizona to establish the "Father's Heart - Phoenix."
We are seeking sponsorship and materials donations support as well as event volunteer support as the outreach continues to grow and serve more families and kids and as we look to expand to include grocery boxes and winter clothing items for families and kids in some cities in 2024 . These events are listed individually below and each has downloadable overviews, sponsor letters, donation details, and volunteer opportunities for each event and city.

From 2022 to 2023, we saw kids and family registrations for the Denver "Father's Heart - Nellie's Kids" Christmas outreach event double. We also saw new challenges in securing needed toys and materials. Nonetheless, the Lord is faithful and brought people and opportunities to address each situation as he worked through the U.S. Marines Toys-For-Tots and others and provided the toys and materials needed. When He calls you to it, He provides for it. Thank you Lord.

The event will feature food, beverages, entertainment including Kamala the Mega LED Robot, Folklorico dancers, arts and crafts, face painting, photos with Santa and the Grinch, and socks and toy distribution. Because of the increased family and community needs and challenges that we experienced in 2023, we expect to see a greater demand and increased registrations in 2024 and we are organizing early. Accordingly, this year we are seeking sponsorship and donation support as community needs increase, as the effort continues to serve more families, and as we work to expand the effort so that it includes grocery boxes and winter clothing items for kids.

The MGM Toyz-In-Da-Hood mission is underwritten by volunteer fundraising efforts and considerations from community partners and businesses. The Toyz-For-Kids Christmas outreach is a La Familia Ministries sponsored event and has been made possible by the U.S. Marines Toys-For-Tots donation of toys through ministry sponsorship support and local business in Northwest Denver. The effort is now in it's 3rd season of service to the families in the Quigg Newton Housing area. Each year the event has been held, family pre-registration's and attendance have been close to the capacity of the Aztlan Recreation Center.

The event will feature snacks and a hot cocoa station, photos with Santa and the Grinch, and socks and toy distribution. Approximately 85 senior residents at the Pioneer Nursing Home will receive gift bags. Our registration cap this year is set at 500 we are seeking sponsorship and donation support as community needs increase, as we continue to serve more families, and as we work to expand the effort so that it includes winter clothing items for kids. We will be working with the Marines Toys-For-Tots to distribute toys at the Father's Heart Event as well as to make toys available to the Rocky Ford Fire Department team and family agencies in the Rocky Ford and La Junta Area.

In 2024, the MGM Toyz-In-Da-Hood family Christmas outreach marks 22 years of service to low income and under served families in Northwest Denver, Southwest Denver and Denver's Westwood areas. This is their mission and the organization is one of the oldest community based, all volunteer 501c3 non profit efforts of it's kind in Denver.
MGM Toyz-In-Da-Hood - Spirit of Giving
MGM Toyz-In-Da-Hood's annual kickoff fundraising event is the "Blessing of the Ridez." This year the event will take place in the same "blessing" tradition followed by a biker and custom car Poker Run. Lastly, La Familia Ministries is blessed to support and collaborate with the Toyz-In-Da-Hood team in 2024.

Poker Run Schedule
We invite long time supporters and friends who have been an important part of the 22 year Toyz-In-Da-Hood tradition as well as new community members to join us in the "Blessing of the Bikez" fundraising effort. As we seek to reinvigorate this effort to do what we can to help meet rising community needs this Christmas season, we want you to know that you are invaluable to our mission of service to underserved families and communities and you are always welcome.
We are a 501c3 Nonprofit. All proceeds from fundraising efforts for the MGM Toyz-In-Da-Hood are applied towards purchasing Christmas toys and any materials needed for our annual community outreach events.
